The Election Fee (EC) on Wednesday ordered repolling at 4 cubicles in Madhya Pradesh’s Betul Lok Sabha seat on Might 10 after digital voting machines have been broken when a bus ferrying them and polling personnel post-voting caught fireplace, an official stated.
The bus was ferrying election staffers and digital voting machines after polling within the Betul Lok Sabha seat throughout the day when it caught fireplace on Tuesday at round 11 pm close to Gola village, inflicting harm to some EVMs, he stated.
Nevertheless, nobody was injured within the incident, Betul Collector Narendra Suryavanshi informed PTI earlier.
After the district administration submitted a report on the fireplace incident, the EC on Wednesday ordered re-election at 4 polling stations of the constituency. The repolling is scheduled from 7 am to six pm on Might 10 (Friday) on these cubicles situated underneath the Multai meeting section of the parliamentary seat, the official stated.
These cubicles have been arrange at Authorities Built-in Excessive College, Rajapur, Authorities Built-in Excessive College, Raiyat, Authorities Main College Kunda, Raiyat and Authorities Built-in Excessive College, Chikhlimal, he stated.

Six polling events and half a dozen EVMs have been within the bus on the time of the incident and 4 of the voting machines have been broken, Suryavanshi stated.
Within the 4 affected EVMs, both a management unit or a poll unit suffered harm, he stated.
An estimated 72.65 per cent polling was recorded within the Betul Lok Sabha seat on Tuesday, a ballot official stated.
Betul was amongst 9 seats in Madhya Pradesh the place voting happened within the third part of Lok Sabha elections.
