Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) batter Nicholas Pooran met with the fan who was struck by one of his sixes at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. The incident occurred during LSG’s sixth IPL 2025 match against Gujarat Titans (GT), when Pooran’s powerful shot hit a spectator named Nabeel on the head.
LSG fan Nabeel was presented with a signed cap by Nicholas Pooran, who expressed his concern and offered a heartfelt gesture of consolation during a conversation ahead of the LSG vs Delhi Capitals clash at the Ekana Stadium. Nabeel, still sporting a bandage on his head from the blow sustained during a previous match, gratefully accepted the cap. In a video posted by LSG’s official X handle, Pooran can be heard inquiring about his well-being.

“I’m feeling great, Pooran sir called and invited me here. I met him and he even asked if I was fine. I’m coming for the game as well. It doesn’t matter if I get hit, but our Lucknow team should keep on winning. Our team won that day, that’s what made me happy. This is our team, trophy is our dream,” said the fan in athe video shared by LSG.

Pooran has been in excellent form this IPL season, emerging as the second-highest run-getter so far. The explosive left-hander has amassed 377 runs in eight innings at an impressive average of 47.12 and a staggering strike rate of 204.89. He has notched up four blistering half-centuries, with standout performances against Delhi Capitals (75 off 30), Sunrisers Hyderabad (70 off 26), Kolkata Knight Riders (an unbeaten 87 off 36), and Gujarat Titans (61 off 34).
The 29-year-old has been instrumental in Lucknow Super Giants’ success this season, helping the side climb to fifth place on the points table with five wins from eight games and ten points in total. The Rishabh Pant-led team will aim to carry forward their winning momentum as they gear up to face Delhi Capitals in their upcoming clash.
