Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be looking to stay alive in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 when they lock horns with Delhi Capitals (DC) on Monday, May 5 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
The Sunrisers, led by Pat Cummins, are placed ninth in the table and another loss will officially knock them out of the competition, making them the third team to get eliminated after Rajasthan Royals (RR) and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
The 2024 runners-up also need to improve their net run rate of -1.192, which is the worst amongst all 10 teams taking part in the ongoing competition. They will go into the game on the back of a heavy 38-run defeat to the Shubman Gill-led Gujarat Titans (GT) in Ahmedabad.
The Axar Patel-led Capitals, on the other hand, will be looking to find their lost momentum. Once placed on top of the table, DC have slipped out of the top four and are currently hanging in the middle at fifth.
They will be keen to return to winning ways after losing to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). With KKR and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) breathing down their necks, DC can’t afford to let complacency sneak in.

The Capitals may think about bringing in left-arm pacer T Natarajan in place of either Dushmantha Chameera or Mukesh Kumar.
