WTC 2025 Final: Australian pacer Scott Boland has his eyes set on the World Test Championship 2025 Final, as the right-arm fast bowler will be looking to leave a mark by repeating his 2023 Final antics.

The 35-year-old came in as a late replacement for ‘injured’ Josh Hazlewood, and experts back then did not fancy the change. However, Scott Boland did not let his side feel the absence of Hazlewood, as he wrecked India’s star-studded top-order by taking 5 wickets throughout the match.

India had no answer to the wrath of Australian bowling attack, as the 2021 runners-up once again ended up in the same position in the 2023 edition.

Australia managed to become the World Test champions by beating India at the Kennington Oval in London, by 209 runs. Travis Head, Steve Smith had already done the damage with the bat via their massive tons, and the bowlers, powered by captain Pat Cummins did not let the Indian batters show endurance on the pitch.

The reigning World Test champions have once again made it to the Final, but this time, they will be facing Temba Bavuma’s South Africa in the 2025 Final.

As reported by ICC, Boland revealed that he will be ‘doing everything possible to remain fit’ for the mega event, starting June 11.

Here’s What Scott Boland Said During Australia’s Home Schedule Announcement

“I’ve had my eye on that game since we qualified in January, so yeah I’ll be doing everything I can over the next two or three months to make sure I’m right for that game on June 11. I think it’s just working out what’s working and what doesn’t. I’ve only had this knee injury for eight to 10 months. I think we’re going about it the right way. I’ll have a little break now.”

“But once I do get up and going, I’m hoping to just go really smoothly and if everything goes well, I’ll be right to go for that one Test in England and those three Tests in the Caribbean.”

“And then after that, have another break again, and then sort of built my strengths and bowling loads again before the huge summer cricket next year.”
