Kuldeep Yadav heaped praise on Noor Ahmad for being someone ‘difficult to read’. The 20-year-old Noor is currently the leading wicket-taker of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, having taken nine wickets from three games at an economy rate of 6.83.
Before the Delhi Capitals’ (DC) match against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Saturday, April 5 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Kuldeep said that the Capitals are wary of the threat Noor can pose, especially on a slow and low track at the Chepauk.

“Noor (Ahmed) is bowling really well, and he is someone who is trying to learn from everyone. We had a chat last night about bowling leg spin as well. He has some good pace also, so it’s very difficult for a batter to read him and especially when you play in Chennai,” Kuldeep said in the pre-match press conference.
“I believe a wrist spinner, whether you bowl right or left arm, you have to adapt, and you have to learn the skill of spinning the ball, and that’s what I have done over the years. Even now, I just look at how I can improve,” he further explained while talking about the speciality of wrist spinners,” Kuldeep added.
Noor Ahmad in brilliant form
On his debut for CSK in their match against Mumbai Indians, Noor made the ball talk with a four-wicket haul and followed it up with figures of 4-0-36-3 against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). He also took two crucial wickets against the Rajasthan Royals (RR), although the Super Kings lost by six runs.
The Capitals are one of the two unbeaten teams along with Punjab Kings (PBKS), having beaten both Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). CSK, on the other hand, would be looking to recover from back-to-back losses at the hands of the Royals and RCB.
