MI Vs RCB: Former MI all-rounder Krunal Pandya, who is currently playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, has called his skipper Rajat Patidar ‘terrific’, as the duo combined for a nail-biting win over Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, in their IPL 2025 fixture.

The win now marks RCB’s first win at the venue in 10 years, and have now won their third game of the season in 4 games. Sitting at third, RCB have now created a 4-point cushion between them and MI, and soeaking after the match, Krunal Pandya was full of praise for his skipper Rajat Patidar, who produced a ‘Man of the Match’ knock in his side’s 12-run win on Monday.

Here’s What Krunal Pandya Said During Post-Match Presentation Ceremony

Krunal Pandya (RCB):

“(On playing against Hardik) Obviously, the bond we have, at the end of the day, it was always going to be one of us to end on the winning side. The love and affection that we have is great. I know he batted really well. But we won. I wanted to win and he also wanted to win. I feel for him.”

“When I came to bowl, when Santner was batting, the leg side was shorter. The amount of games I have played in the last 10 years, the experience had to come in. I had to have that clarity of what ball I want to bowl. You have to commit 100% so that the execution comes your way than the other side.”

“(On working with Andy Flower) It’s been fun. Andy and I were there for LSG. We had a great run. It was good to know Andy from personal space. The way we are going, we are in a pretty good headspace and it’s been great working with Andy.”

“(On Patidar’s captaincy and Jitesh) Rajat has been terrific. Another captain who gives you comfort. He gives you the ball and backs your plans. As a bowler, you want that. He doesn’t get complicated. You can see that from the way he bats. Jitesh also, he has improved his batting. He has worked really hard. With the gloves, he’s been terrific always. Working hard and seeing the results, it feels good in a way.”

“(Is this RCB’s year?) Again, I don’t want to jinx it or say it. But when you get into this tournament, you know what you want at the end of the season. I just want to keep my head down and keep working hard.”
