Mohammad Rizwan endured a torrid time on Day 5 of the opening Test against Bangladesh as he was brutally trolled by Litton Das before falling in bizarre fashion. Chasing 268, Pakistan were struggling at 121 for five when Rizwan walked out to bat. Although he had scored 59 in the first innings, the wicketkeeper-batter failed to make a similar impact in the second.

Rizwan managed just 15 runs off 46 balls before being dismissed by Nahid Rana. The drama began in the 38th over, when Rizwan was still settling at the crease. Speaking from behind the stumps to Taijul Islam, Litton mocked Rizwan, saying the Pakistan batter was playing only for survival and would avoid attacking cricket because of his poor reputation back home.

“They will now play for survival; there’s no pressure on them to win. And his reputation is already very bad in that country. If he tries to attack and gets out, he won’t be able to return home, his reputation is already very bad there,” Litton was heard saying on a stump mic.
The trolling seemed to have affected Rizwan, who got out to Nahid a few overs later without offering a shot. Rana produced a beauty to dismiss Rizwan with a 147 kmph nip-backer. Rizwan pressed across and shouldered arms, expecting the ball to hold its line, but it jagged back sharply and clipped the top of middle stump, leaving the Pakistan batter stunned.
Rizwan entered the Test series after enduring a disappointing Pakistan Super League campaign, where his side Rawalpindi failed to reach the playoffs following eight consecutive defeats.
BANGLADESH EDGE PAST PAKISTAN
With rain threatening to wash out the Test and Bangladesh leading by only 179 runs, the match seemed destined for a draw. But Bangladesh adopted an aggressive approach on Day 5, scoring 88 runs in 20 overs before declaring at 240 for nine and setting Pakistan a target of 268. Najmul Hossain Shanto led from the front with a fluent 87.
Earlier, Bangladesh had posted 413 in the first innings before Mehidy Hasan’s five-wicket haul helped secure a 27-run lead. Pakistan’s chase never gathered momentum as Taskin Ahmed struck early and Nahid Rana ripped through the middle and lower order with raw pace.
Abdullah Fazal’s fighting 66 was not enough as Pakistan were bowled out 104 runs short, handing Bangladesh a historic first home Test win over Pakistan and a 1-0 series lead.
