Royal Challengers Bengaluru beat Rajasthan Royals to win their fourth game of the season. Phil Salt, Virat Kohli, and Devdutt Padikkal guided the team to a 9-wicket win after an impressive show from the bowlers in Jaipur. After the match, RCB batter Padikkal joked that it was about time the team started to win at home as well.
RCB have played 6 games in the Indian Premier League season so far and have won 4 matches. All of their wins have come away from home—against Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, and now, Rajasthan Royals. At home, RCB’s fortunes have not been good, losing against Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans.

Chatting with Phil Salt after the game, Padikkal hoped that RCB would translate this form at home as well.
“Getting four wins now away from home, it really feels great. Hopefully, we can continue this at home as well. To be honest, it is about time we start doing something there as well,” Padikkal said in a chat with Phil Salt after the match.
“We are actually playing some good cricket. I think in time we will win there as well,” Padikkal further added.
IPL 2025: RR vs RCB Highlights | Match Report
On Sunday, England’s Phil Salt ripped Rajasthan apart, hitting an aggressive 65 off 33 balls. This allowed Virat Kohli to settle into his innings and notch up his 100th T20 fifty. Kohli remained unbeaten on 62 off 45 balls and had Padikkal for company. The left-hander scored yet another aggressive knock in this season’s IPL, hitting 40* off 28 balls.
During his chat with Salt, Padikkal found support from the Englishman, who said that it was only a matter of time before RCB started winning at home as well.
“It is a matter of time. I don’t think that we have done badly there. We train there more than anyone else, we play there more than anyone else—it’s a matter of time that we get it right and give fans something to cheer about,” Phil Salt quipped after the match.
RCB are currently in third position in the league table behind Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals.
