An electrical automobile battery-testing companies facility — the first-of-its-kind within the trade — shall be established within the metropolis at a value of INR 15 crore.
The ability, for which Union shopper affairs minister Pralhad Joshi laid basis stone on Thursday, will come up on one acre on the Nationwide Check Home (NTH), on the Regional Reference Commonplace Laboratory campus in Jakkur. This cutting-edge testing facility will assist South Indian EV producers, particularly with regard to ascertaining battery effectivity, security requirements, and assembly efficiency metrics.

Suresh Babu, director of NTH, ministry of shopper affairs, advised TOI: “Because the govt can also be selling ‘Made in India’ merchandise, this testing service may help native producers quite a bit in displaying their product high quality.”
