In terms of exterior appearances, the 2021 Figo Automatic is expected to get nominal cosmetic changes. As per the teaser, the grille under the cover is similar to the existing Figo variant. The present Figo comes with the 1.2-litre petrol engine which makes 96hp of power and 119Nm of torque. With manual transmission, the current 1.2-litre engine suffers from a poor low-end pull. With the upcoming auto transmission, this issue would be resolved.
It is highly expected that the Ford will offer the Figo automatic with the Titanium and Blu versions.
The price of the existing models of Figo start at Rs 5.82 lakh (ex-showroom) in India and goes up to Rs 8.37 lakh (ex-showroom).
With the upgraded version of Figo, Ford will compete against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Hyundai i20 and the Volkswagen Polo hatchback.
