Reaching 16 points is usually the benchmark for securing an IPL playoff spot — and that’s exactly what Kolkata Knight Riders will be aiming for.

Although RCB made it through with 14 points last season, the trend from 2022 and 2023 shows that 16 is typically the cut-off. For KKR, that means winning 5 of their remaining 7 matches.

The road ahead won’t be easy. KKR’s next three games are against Gujarat, Punjab, and Delhi — three of the top four teams this season. It’s a tough challenge, but there’s hope.

If KKR can pick up even one or two wins from those three games, they’ll remain in contention.

Their final four matches are against RR, CSK, SRH, and RCB — teams they’ve already defeated this season. That gives them confidence and a psychological edge heading into the final stretch.

If KKR can build momentum and string together wins — as they’ve done in past seasons — a playoff spot is still within reach.
