Sunrisers Hyderabad will welcome Rajasthan Royals to the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, March 23. The Royals lost both the matches they went up against the Sunrisers in IPL 2024, with the first one being a final over thriller. The second match between the two came in Qualifier 2, where SRH outfoxed RR to enter the final of the tournament in Chennai.

Last season saw both teams showcase their prowess with the bat throughout the tournament, and it was Hyderabad who paved the way for others with their high scores. The explosive batting of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head set the tone for the Sunrisers in most of their matches, and it was followed up by the likes of Nitish Kumar Reddy and Heinrich Klaasen. Now, they have added another hard-hitting batter in Ishan Kishan, who has made himself at home already with some explosive outings in the intra-squad matches.

For Rajasthan, they have undergone some changes with long-time servant Jos Buttler being let go ahead of the auction. The Royals decided to bank on Indian talent and retained a core that consists of Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel, with Sandeep Sharma rewarded for his outstanding performances.
