New Delhi:

Former Congress leader Jitin Prasada – the BJP’s newest high-profile recruit – has ruled out making any deal with Home Minister Amit Shah or party chief JP Nadda prior to his joining the ruling outfit.

Mr Prasada, 47, told NDTV he quit the Congress – whom he served for two decades – because “slowly it was getting difficult” to work within the structure of the party and because he felt he could “serve the people by moving to the BJP”.

“It is not about Rahul or any particular leader. I didn’t do any deal with Nadda or Shahji… I will do whatever the party gives me,” Mr Prasada told NDTV.
