District Education Officer applauded teachers and students
Barnala: As per the guidelines of Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla and Education Secretary Krishan Kumar, the School Education Department has been making continuous efforts to make the students of government schools proficient in International Language English.
In order to rid the reluctance of students to speak English, teachers and students are being motivated to become members of this club by setting up English booster clubs in all government schools. Amaninder Singh, District Mentor, English, and Social Education informed that as per the instructions of the head office, under the leadership of District Education Officer Secondary Sarabjit Singh Toor and Deputy District Education Officer Secondary Mrs. Harkanwaljit Kaur English Booster Clubs would be set up in all the middle, high and senior secondary schools, as well as online English speaking competitions, are being conducted on daily basis for students. Students and teachers are being encouraged by releasing the English speaking videos prepared by the students as well as the teachers through the District Media Cell. An online meeting of the English Booster Club teachers was called on, as per the instructions of the head office.
Toor, District Education Officer attended the meeting as the Chief Guest. Toor lauded the efforts of the club member to make the students proficient in the English language and said that it would be an opportunity for the students to shape their future at the international level. During the meeting, the teachers appreciated the efforts of the department and promised to make the students of government schools specialist in their mother tongue as well as English. Binder Singh Khudhi Kalan, District Media Coordinator of the department said that there was a lot of enthusiasm among the students and teachers towards the English Booster Club activities. Block Mentors Amarjit Singh, Jagdish Singh, Sohan Singh, and Mohammad Nassar among others were also present in the online meeting.
