Vaibhav Suyavanshi scored a spectacular century as the Rajasthan Royals (RR) beat the Gujarat Titans (GT) by eight wickets in the IPL 2025 match on Monday, April 28 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The southpaw scored 101 off 38 balls with seven fours and 11 sixes as the Royals chased down a massive target of 210 with 25 balls to spare.

Vaibhav hit a 17-ball fifty, after which he reached his century off 35 balls. The teenager put up a massive partnership of 166 runs for the opening wicket with Yashasvi Jaiswal, laying the platform for the Royals in their run-chase. Jaiswal let Suryavanshi support with a 70-run knock off 40 balls.

RR vs GT, IPL 2025 Updates

With the win, the Royals kept alive their hopes of qualifying for the playoffs. They are placed eighth in the table with six points and a net run rate of -0.349 thanks to wins in three out of 10 matches.

35 – Vaibhav Suryavanshi hit the fastest hundred by an Indian in the IPL. He went past Yusuf Pathan’s 37-ball century for the Royals against Mumbai Indians (MI) in 2009.

2 – Vaibhav Suryavanshi also hit the second-fastest IPL hundred. Chris Gayle holds the record after his 30-ball hundred for RCB against Pune Warriors in 2013 in Bengaluru.

4 – Vaibhav Suryavanshi became only the fourth RR batter to score a hundred in a successful run-chase. The others are Ben Stokes (1), Jos Buttler (3) and Yashavsi Jaiswal (1).

14 years, 32 daysVaibhav Suryavanshi became the youngest to hit a T20 fifty. He broke the record of Hassan Eisakhil, who held the previous record at 15 years and 360 days for Boost Defenders against Kabul Eagles in the Shpageeza League 2022.

2 – Vaibhav Suryavanshi became only the second teenager to hit a hundred in IPL history. Manish Pandey is the other batter after his hundred for RCB at 19 years and 253 days.

11 – Vaibhav Suryavanshi set the record for the highest number of sixes by an RR batter in an IPL innings. He broke Sanju Samson’s record of 10 against RCB back in April 2018 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

166 – Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal set the record for the highest partnership for RR in the IPL. They went past Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal’s 155 against Delhi Capitals in 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium.

2 – The Royals notched the second-highest successful run-chase at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Sunrisers Hyderabad hold the record after they tracked down 215 against the Royals back in 2023.
