The Scottish Conservatives will elect a brand new chief to exchange Douglas Ross by the tip of September.
MSPs Russell Findlay and Brian Whittle are each operating for the job, with a variety of others believed to be contemplating becoming a member of the race.
The get together’s administration board have set out the dates for the competition, with nominations opening on 8 August earlier than the winner is introduced on 27 September.
Mr Ross introduced he would give up midway by the overall election marketing campaign, amid a row over his failed bid to return to Westminster.
He was chosen as a candidate for Aberdeenshire North and Moray East – a seat he then misplaced – as a substitute of David Duguid, who was in impact de-selected by the get together.
