‘Baywatch’ star Alexandra Paul has revealed her 13-year ordeal with a German stalker who even “ran her off the road” and claimed to be her “secret lover.” The 61-year-old TV star opened up about her “nightmare” in an op-ed published by The Ankler.

When did the ordeal begin?

Paul revealed that the unnamed stalker and his brother visited her home in Pacific Palisades in December 2011. They told her that they lived three hours away and asked if the boy could use her bathroom. Paul let them in. While the boy used the bathroom, Paul introduced the woman to her husband, Ian Murray. While leaving, the woman left Paul a thank you note on her door and also asked if the boy could come back later to gift her a drawing.

It did not end there. A few months later, the stalker moved to a home one block away from Paul. This was followed by several “concerning incident” that prompted Paul to get her first restraining order. However, this did not stop the woman. She went on to break the order close to 30 times.

During one such incident, the woman “ran her off the road in her car.”

“I was terrified to see her racing up behind me at 90 miles an hour, trying to catch me. Then she veered past me and drove on. I was thoroughly spooked, and if anyone felt afraid that they were being run off the road, it wasn’t her,” Paul wrote.

The woman then began sending posters around their neighborhood, accusing the actress of being an “antisemitic” and a “criminal.”

She also sent Paul’s mother an “unhinged, nine-page letter” claiming to be her daughter’s “secret lover who needed saving from (her) violent, cheating husband.”

Stalker arrested –

The woman, who was allegedly living in America illegally, was arrested after several years and deported her native Germany.

However, the woman continued “pursuing” Paul and her husband abroad. She eventually returned to the US two years later and accused Paul’s husband of being a pedophile.

Paul and the stalker went to court multiple times over the year in connection with the several restraining orders she filed.

“This was not just frustrating, time-consuming and expensive,” she wrote. “It was downright creepy. I knew what the stalker would be wearing each time because it was exactly what I had worn at the previous hearing.”

In 2022, Paul and her husband sold their home and “got special new IDs that protected our identities and rented a house under an LLC.” But the woman managed to trace them.

Nine months later, the FBI arrested the woman. The stalker was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023. The LA prosecutor’s office alerted Paul and Murray about the diagnosis and asked them if the woman “could spend her last days at home.” They agreed. She died on July 29, 2024, at the age of 41.

The entire ordeal cost Paul $60,000 in legal fees.
