Rajat Patidar and Josh Hazlewood were the architects of RCB’s win, as they hammered CSK by 50 runs to maintain their position on top of the table.

“It was a good total on this surface because ball was stopping a bit. Wasn’t easy for the batters to hit the boundaries easily. It’s always special playing Chennai at Chepauk because the way the crowd supports every team was amazing. Always special to play at their home ground,” said Rajat Patidar, who was awarded the Player of the Match.

“It was very important because we were targeting 200 on this wicket. My goal was clear, as long as I was there, we were going for it. We haven’t changed the batting lineup. It was the same as it was in the last match. This track was pretty much helpful for spinners. I was just keeping things in my mind. The way Livingstone bowled was commendable,” said the Indian batter.

“[On Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar’s opening spell] It was a game changing moment because we got 2-3 wickets in 6 overs. Amazing to see how they kept bowling at the hard length as it wasn’t coming on the bat easily,” he added.
