LSG Vs GT: Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has been ruled out of today’s LSG Vs GT, IPL 2025 Match 26 fixture in Lucknow. The reason behind his absence has been revealed by skipper Rishabh Pant, who stated that the 33-year-old is taking care of his daughter, who is not well.

Mitchell Marsh has been a star for LSG this season, with him scoring 4 fifties in 5 innings, and is amongst the highest run-scorers this season (265).

LSG, who started the season with a heart-breaking defeat to DC, have catched up form in time after their defeat to PBKS, as close victories over KKR & MI have put them in a comfortable position.

‘The Bison’ has been replaced by Himmat Singh, who’s making his debut for the franchise, as LSG eye a rare win over GT.

GT are currently on top of the table with 4 wins and 1 loss, level on points with DC (8 points).

LSG will have to up the ante against GT, if they are to win at home, as the visitors are in inspired form, and are on a four-match winning streak.

Here’s What Rishabh Pant Said During Toss

Rishabh Pant (Lucknow Super Giants Captain):

“We are going to bowl first. The wicket looks good. We want to exploit the surface under the sun. I am happy with the team winning the previous two matches. As a team, we are talking about the process. The team is responding well now. It is encouraging. Bowlers have done a really good job, we have to give credit to them as they have restrict the opposition when they have been put under pressure in the powerplay.”

“Just one change. Mitchell Marsh is not playing. Himmat Singh comes in. Marsh’s daughter is not well and hence, he is not playing as he is taking care of her.”
