Police in Maharashtra’s Ahmednagar district have booked BJP MLA Nitesh Rane for provocative speeches by which he threatened Muslims.
Rane addressed two public conferences in Shrirampur and Topkhana areas in assist of Hindu seer Mahant Ramgiri Maharaj, who was within the information final month for making derogatory remarks about Islam and Prophet Muhammad.
Rane mentioned there could be repercussions if the Maharaj is harmed.
In a viral video, Rane may be heard saying if anybody says something in opposition to Ramgiri Maharaj, “We’ll enter your mosques and hit you one after the other. Hold this in thoughts.” A police official mentioned Monday that two FIRs have been registered in opposition to Rane at Shrirampur and Topkhana police stations.
Sharing the video, AIMIM spokesperson, Waris Pathan, in a publish on X requested Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde and deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis to arrest Rane.
“Rane is spreading hatred in opposition to Muslims in his total speech. That is inflammatory speech, hate speech. BJP is attempting to create communal violence in Maharashtra earlier than the state meeting elections,” Pathan mentioned.
Ramgiri Maharaj has been accused of constructing derogatory feedback about Prophet Mohammad and Islam. Circumstances have been registered in opposition to him at many locations in Maharashtra and Muslim leaders have been demanding his arrest.
