3 Israeli Army Soldiers Killed In Hamas' Gaza Crossing Rocket Attack

Israel’s navy mentioned a barrage of rockets fired earlier Sunday from the besieged Gaza Strip in the direction of the Kerem Shalom border crossing had killed three troopers and wounded a dozen others.

Three of the 12 wounded have been in critical situation, the navy instructed AFP.

The armed wing of the Palestinian group Hamas earlier claimed the rocket assault, which led Israeli authorities to shut the crossing, used to ship support into Gaza.

The navy mentioned 14 rockets have been fired on the crossing from an space adjoining to the Rafah crossing.

In response, the air power carried out a fast response and destroyed the launchers from which the projectiles have been fired, navy spokesman Peter Lerner instructed journalists in a web-based briefing.

“It is a very critical occasion from our perspective, it is unacceptable, and the IDF (military) is investigating why the troopers have been killed because the siren was sounding,” he mentioned.

The military was “not conscious of any interception that befell” throughout the incoming hearth, he mentioned.

“The airforce will look into precisely what occurred,” Lerner added.
