Melvin Koh has been appointed General Manager, Ticketing Asia at Ticketek, the ticketing division of Silver Lake-backed Ticketek Entertainment Group (TEG).
Koh will be based in Singapore, leading Ticketek‘s operations, strategic partnerships and platform growth across the region as TEG accelerates its presence in Asia.
The appointment was announced on Monday (June 1).
Koh brings more than 18 years of experience across sports, entertainment, venue management, commercial strategy and ticketing.
Most recently, he held a senior leadership role at the Singapore Sports Hub, where he established the Ticketing and Access Management function and shaped its strategy and operating model.
His background encompasses both venue and promoter operations – a dual perspective that TEG says positions him well to represent Ticketek‘s platform to venues, promoters and rightsholders across Asia.
“The live entertainment market in this region is growing rapidly, and venues, promoters and rights holders are increasingly looking for a technology and data platform that can keep pace with that growth.”

“The opportunity to lead Ticketek’s growth ambitions in Asia from Singapore is one I’m genuinely excited about,” said Koh.
“The live entertainment market in this region is growing rapidly, and venues, promoters and rights holders are increasingly looking for a technology and data platform that can keep pace with that growth.
“I look forward to working with our partners and the broader TEG team to deliver measurable impact across every touchpoint of the live experience.”
Cameron Hoy, Chief Executive Officer at TEG, said: “Melvin’s appointment reflects our ongoing commitment to Asia, a region we have operated in for many decades.
“Melvin brings deep experience across both venue and promoter operations, precisely the perspective needed to represent the full breadth of Ticketek’s ticketing, digital marketing and data capabilities to our partners across the region.
“We are delighted to welcome him to the team and look forward to the exciting new chapter ahead.”

Cameron Hoy, TEG
Hoy was promoted to CEO of TEG effective June 1 – the same day as Koh‘s appointment – after Brad Banducci stepped down from the role after just over a year.
Hoy joined Ticketek Australia in 2007 and served as TEG‘s Chief Operating Officer and Head of Global Ticketing since December 2023.
Koh‘s hire comes as competition in Asian ticketing intensifies.
Last October, AEG subsidiary AXS agreed to take a majority stake in Singapore-based ticketing platform SISTIC, expanding its presence in the city-state and Southeast Asia.
In November 2025, TEG acquired Twenty3 Live and launched in-house creative agency Ovation amp, further consolidating its marketing operations.
TEG says it is one of Asia Pacific’s largest live entertainment and ticketing companies, selling over 30 million tickets per year for more than 300 venues across 15 countries.
Silicon Valley-based technology investment firm Silver Lake acquired TEG in 2019.
TEG brings together Ticketek, TEG Live, TEG Sport, TEG Experiences and Ovation to create, promote and power live entertainment across concerts, sporting events, festivals and exhibitions.Music Business Worldwide
