Amid the ongoing speculations regarding his BJP switch, Kamal Nath urged the people in Madhya Pradesh and party workers to join Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Nayay Yatra

Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Kamal Nath on Friday urged the people of the state and party workers to join Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra’ in the fight against ‘injustice and oppression.’

Calling Rahul Gandhi as “our leader,” Nath expressed his excitement and appealed to the people of Madhya Pradesh to welcome the Congress-led yatra.

“I urge the people of Madhya Pradesh and the brave workers of Congress to become the strength and courage of Rahul Gandhi by joining the Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra in maximum numbers. Together you and I will bring this great campaign against injustice to an end,” the veteran Congress leader wrote in a post on X.

Earlier in the day, a Congress spokesperson confirmed the participation of the senior Congress leader in the yatra’s Madhya Pradesh leg. Nath is set to arrive in Gwalior on March 2 and will be part of the yatra until March 6.

Kamal Nath’s remarks come in the wake of Madhya Pradesh Congress leaders rejecting speculations that he, along with his son Nakul Nath, might join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, numerous Congress leaders from Kamal Nath’s stronghold in MP’s Chhindwara district joined the BJP. The BJP president of Chhindwara district asserted that 1,500 Congress members, including over 700 from the recently-formed Pandhurna district, joined their party.
