Labour candidate Andy Burnham has gained one other time period as Better Manchester mayor with greater than 420,000 votes.
He cruised to victory for Labour, because the Conservatives are available in second place with 68,946 votes.
In his victory speech Burnham vowed to “battle more durable than I’ve ever fought for something earlier than, for a Better Manchester the place individuals can stay free from the worry of debt, starvation and eviction”.
