Army chief General Dhiraj Seth visits Central Command HQ to review operational readiness

NEW DELHI: Army chief General Dhiraj Seth undertook a two-day visit to formations of Central Command on Tuesday and Wednesday to review the prevailing security environment, operational preparedness and ongoing capability enhancement initiatives.At Headquarters Central Command, Lucknow, the Army chief was briefed on the command’s operational posture, infrastructure development, modernisation efforts and measures being undertaken to further strengthen combat readiness. He thereafter visited Headquarters Uttar Bharat Area and interacted with commanders and troops.In a post on X, the Army said, “During his visit, the COAS reiterated that combat readiness, technological adaptation and self-reliance remain central to building a future-ready Indian Army capable of responding decisively across the full spectrum of operations.”While interacting with commanders and all ranks, the General reaffirmed that operational preparedness, adaptability and self-reliance remain the bedrock of military effectiveness. He further emphasised that a technologically empowered and future-ready Indian Army will continue to safeguard national interests while contributing to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
