The Election Flying Squad officers seized Rs 1 crore in money from a home at Ettarai village in Tiruchirappalli on Friday evening, within the first such seizure forward of polling for the Lok Sabha within the state.

Chatting with ANI over cellphone, District Collector Pradeep Kumar mentioned, “The Election Flying Squad officers entered the home at Ettarai village in Tiruchirappalli and carried out a search. They discovered foreign money notes, totalling Rs 1 crore, stuffed in a bag.”

Mr Kumar mentioned the election management room within the Trichy District Collectorate obtained a cellphone name, ensuing within the restoration of the money.

He knowledgeable additional that the Election Flying Squad officers went to the village after receiving info that foreign money notes had been stored at a home.
