In an announcement, Kolkata Metro stated that Garg expressed his satisfaction after the inspection. He inspected the entry and exit gates, ticketing system, escalators, lifts, signage boards, digital interlocking (EI) system, and sign tools room of Beleghata, Barun Sengupta, Ritwik Ghatak and VIP Bazar stations, it stated.

Garg additionally undertook a trolley inspection alongside the stretch as much as the Hemanta Mukhopadhyay station, the assertion stated. He additionally held a high-level assembly with officers of Kolkata Metro and Rail Vikas Nigam Restricted (RVNL), which is constructing the 30-km line, often known as the Orange Line.

Earlier this month, PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the 6-km part of the road, from the Kavi Subhash station in New Garia to Hemanta Mukhopadhyay station at Ruby Crossing. The approval of the CCRS is obligatory for commissioning any metro or railway undertaking.
