Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan’s horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla, which is currently in its day 13, is witnessing a gradual slow down in numbers. The film, which has been receiving mixed to positive feedback for its blend of laughs and scares, has added decent numbers in its second week.
On Day 13, Bhooth Bangla has added Rs 1.28 crore across 4,914 shows to the total collections so far, reported Sacnilk. In account of these figures, Akshay Kumar’s entertainer has now locked in Rs 145.59 crore in gross collections. Meanwhile, the total India net collections are currently valued at Rs 122.53 crore.
Worldwide Collection
On day 12, the film just missed the entry to the Rs 200 crore club as it grossed a worldwide collection of Rs 195.08 crore. The total overseas collections so far have been reported as Rs 51.00 crore. These numbers are impressive, considering the genre.

Occupancy – Day 13
On Day 13, the overall occupancy has fallen to 5.62%. Morning shows saw extremely low turnout; however, the afternoon shows rose to 11.23%. The data for evening and night shows is yet to be updated.
Region-Wise Occupancy
The occupancy report across major regions on day 13 shows the gradual decrease in screens in the second week. Though by night, the number of shows and occupancy is expected to grow, the second week is already experiencing a slowdown.
National Capital Region (NCR), with 933 shows, reported a low occupancy of 7.0%. Bengaluru, with a significantly lesser number of shows (207), has also reported the same occupancy. Other major regions like Mumbai, with 619 shows, and Jaipur, with 123 shows so far, have contributed decently to the overall occupancy of the day.
Overall Box Office Performance
The film opened to a solid start with strong weekend collections. The pre-release hype of the Akshay Kumar-Priyadarshan collaboration benefited the collections.
The Week 1 collections of Bhooth Bangla were locked at an India net of Rs 84.40 crore.
The second weekend also saw double digit numbers, further boosting the total collections. However, the second week has been following a slow but steady run throughout, with a decrease in occupancies.

Outlook
The horror-comedy has performed reasonably well at the box office. Though the film has managed to collect impressive figures through its 13 days, the upcoming days will be crucial. This weekend, the box office is preparing for two other releases, Riteish Deshmukh’s Raja Shivaji and Junaid-Sai Pallavi’s Ek Din.
In account of these releases, Bhooth Bangla needs to continue modest figures to continue a long theatrical run.
