We recently got the chance to get up close to the 6th generation BMW 7 Protection, which is the armoured vehicle version of the new 7 series luxury saloon. The 7 Protection or G73, gets the BMW Protection Core – self self-supporting body structure made of 10mm thick armoured steel. It can protect its occupants against a range of attack scenarios thanks to the VR 9 class protection against firearms and explosives on the body and VPAM 10 level protection on glass areas. In simpler words, the G73 gets 72mm thick bulletproof glass and also an emergency exit feature on all four doors.
