The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) has shared the sales numbers of last month, where BMW clearly is seen securing the top spot with ease.

The top automakers have begun the year 2024 on a good note, registering decent sales for January. The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) has shared those numbers, giving a crystal clear picture of who has managed to secure the top position in the country.

Top Performer BMW

As per the details shared by the FADA, BMW has secured the top spot in terms of sales numbers. The brand has successfully retailed more than 1,339 units in January 2024, breaking its own record for the same month last year. The brand managed to sell only  932 units in January 2023.

 Mercedes-Benz and Jaguar Land Rover

Amid this, Mercedes-Benz and Jaguar Land Rover also contributed to the sector with impressive numbers. Both companies performed well last month, unlocking sales numbers of 1,330 and 270 units respectively. When it comes to last year’s performance, Jaguar Land Rover was able to achieve only 221 units in January.

Audi performance

As far as Audi’s performance is concerned, the FADA report shows a lesser number this time compared to last year. The leading car manufacturer struggled this year as it has only sold 67 units (CBU), declining from 184 units same period last year.

However, the German carmaker dominated the petrol and EV market last year, with strong demands, registering overall sales of  7,931 units.

Here’s What Audi’s Head Said Last Year

Reacting to the same, the company’s head in India, Balbir Singh Dhillon said, “Our decision to move out of diesel was also absolutely correct as the contribution of the fuel has been coming down with petrol now becoming the dominant powertrain on a share of 65 percent.”
