Chechnya has reportedly banned music that’s too quick or too gradual.

The Russian republic is claimed to have dominated that each one music ought to “correspond to a tempo of 80 to 116 beats per minute (BPM)”.

Its tradition ministry made the announcement in an announcement earlier this week, in response to the Moscow Instances.

The republic’s chief Ramzan Kadyrov instructed tradition minister Musa Dadayev to make Chechen music “conform to the Chechen mentality,” the Moscow Instances mentioned.

“Borrowing musical tradition from different peoples is inadmissible,” Mr Dadayev reportedly mentioned.

The ban was reportedly introduced following a gathering between the republic’s ministry and native and regional artists.

However artists are mentioned to have been given till 1 June to rewrite music that does not meet the factors – and if their music is not reworked, they will not be allowed to carry out it in public.
