Congress chief Rohan Gupta on Monday introduced his choice to withdraw his candidature from the Ahmedabad East Lok Sabha seat owing to his father’s “severe medical situation.”

“Because of severe medical situation, my father is admitted in hospital and I’m withdrawing my candidature for Ahmedabad east parliament seat as Congress Candidate. I’ll lengthen full help to the brand new candidate nominated by get together,” Gupta stated in a publish on ‘X’.

Mr Gupta was among the many 43 candidates introduced by the Congress on March 12, which included seven candidates from Gujarat.
