Former vice chairman M Venkaiah Naidu, founding father of Sulabh Worldwide Bindeshwar Pathak and a number of different distinguished individuals have been conferred with Padma Awards by President Droupadi Murmu at a ceremonial operate held on the Rashtrapati Bhavan right here on Monday.

For 2024, the President had authorised conferment of 132 Padma awards, together with two duo instances (in a duo case, the award is counted as one).
The record includes 5 Padma Vibhushan, 17 Padma Bhushan and 110 Padma Shri awards.
As many as 30 of the awardees are ladies and the record additionally contains eight folks from the class of Foreigners/NRI/PIO/OCI and 9 posthumous awardees.
