“They insulted my mother and my family for more than 90 minutes. For me that was disrespectful. If after that we can’t celebrate the way we want to, I find that a shame,” Guendouzi said.

Fenerbahce head coach Ismail Kartal backed the midfielder after the match and said the team had stood together during the incident.
“As a team we all stood together to support Guendouzi. Support was provided. That is what teamwork is all about,” Kartal said.
