Some sanitation staff seen smoke on the Vallabh Bhawan — because the secretariat constructing is formally recognized — round 9.30 am, following which the fireplace brigade was alerted, sources stated.
“Firefighters have introduced the blaze underneath management, and additional work is on. Now, solely smoke is emanating from the third ground the place paperwork are saved,” Bhopal Municipal Company’s Hearth Officer Rameshwar Neel instructed PTI.
Fifteen to twenty hearth tenders have been pressed into service, he stated.

Speaking to reporters, the chief minister stated, “I used to be in Bhopal, and I got here to know {that a} hearth broke out on the third ground of the outdated constructing of Vallabh Bhavan. I sought info from the collector and requested the chief secretary to watch the state of affairs.” The hearth has been introduced underneath management, he stated.
“A directive has been issued to stop such incidents and be sure that no papers and no vital recordsdata are destroyed. I hope that such incidents don’t recur,” Yadav stated.
