New Delhi: The heavy industries ministry on Wednesday introduced a brand new scheme to advertise e-mobility within the nation with an outlay of INR 500 crore for 4 months starting April 2024. The brand new scheme is for 2-wheelers and 3-wheelers.
The second part of FAME-II or Quicker Adoption and Manufacturing of Electrical Autos in India programme ends on March 31, 2024.
Saying E-Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024 (EMPS 2024), Heavy Industries Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey mentioned the Modi authorities is dedicated to selling e-mobility within the nation.
The scheme shall be for 4 months until July 2024, the minister mentioned.
Below the scheme, a help of INR 10,000 per 2-wheeler shall be supplied.
The purpose is to offer help for about 3.3 lakh 2-wheelers.
A help of INR 25,000 shall be given for buy of small three-wheelers (e-rickshaw and e-carts). Greater than 31,000 such automobiles shall be lined.
The monetary help shall be INR 50,000 on buy of a giant three-wheeler.
Subsidies below the second part of the FAME scheme shall be eligible for e-vehicles offered until March 31, 2024, or until the time funds can be found.
