Hema Malini ‘Supports’ Daughter Esha Deol’s Divorce; Insider Claims ‘It Was Brewing For a While’

Days after Esha Deol announced her separation from her husband Bharat Takhtani, it has now been revealed that their divorce did not surprise anyone in the family because it ‘was brewing for a while’. If a recent report is to be believed, Esha and Bharat decided to part ways sometime back and were only waiting for the right time to announce the same.

“It was brewing for a while. Esha and her husband had decided to part ways for some time now. They were just waiting for the right time to announce their separation. Now that it is out of the way, Esha is trying to move on with her life,” an insider told Zoom.

The source further claimed that Esha’s mother and veteran actress Hema Malini is in support of her daughter’s decision and does not want to talk about it. “She is certainly not commenting on her daughter’s decision to divorce her husband. It is Esha’s life and Hemaji will not meddle. She never has. She is with her daughter now, as she has always been. But Hemaji is not accountable for her daughter’s actions,” the insider added.

Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani announced their separation earlier this month i.e. after 11 years of being together. The two issued a joint statement and revealed that they have decided to separate “mutually and amicably”. “We have mutually and amicably decided to part ways. Through this shift in our lives, the best interests and welfare of our two children is and will be of utmost importance to us. We’d appreciate our privacy is respected,” their statement read.

Esha and Bharat got married in 2012. The two are parents to their daughters Radhya and Miraya, who are six and four years old respectively. The rumours of Esha and Bharat’s separation were making headlines for a long time now. It all started after the latter skipped his mother-in-law Hema Malini’s birthday bash last year. He had also not seen Esha’s birthday celebration.
