New Delhi: Honda India has initiated a Company Social Duty (CSR) program named ‘Stree Sarthee’ to empower girls and improve highway security, beginning with the coaching of feminine cab drivers on the Institute of Driving Coaching and Analysis (IDTR) in Karnal.
This system is a part of a latest Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) involving Honda’s IDTR because the coaching companion, the Nationwide Talent Growth Company (NSDC) because the nodal company, and Kedman Skilling because the mobilization companion. BluSmart Mobility has additionally collaborated with NSDC to offer employment alternatives to skilled feminine cab drivers.
The initiative goals to offer girls with financial alternatives in rising sectors like transportation. IDTR plans to coach over 250 feminine individuals initially, with additional enlargement to different facilities throughout India, together with Gurugram. Honda’s broader aim is to coach a complete of three,000 girls nationwide. The primary batch of 18 females concluded on Saturday.
Coaching classes at IDTR include 80 hours unfold over 5 days, overlaying highway security guidelines, defensive driving methods, driving simulators, a technologically outfitted driving lab, and on-track driving coaching.

Dhingra reiterated Honda’s dedication to gender equality and societal growth, highlighting this system’s alignment with the federal government in girls empowerment and highway security training.
The IDTR can even present highway security and consciousness sources to authorities and personal faculties to reinforce highway security training nationwide.
