The seat-sharing talks between Congress and the Samajwadi Party (SP) in Uttar Pradesh have fallen through, sources told India Today TV. The breakdown in negotiations, which occurred late on Monday night, was primarily due to disagreements over the allocation of three crucial seats in the Moradabad division. However, on this episode of To the Point, spokespersons of the Congress and Samajwadi Party seemed confident of finalising the seat-sharing formula before the poll dates for Lok Sabha elections are announced.
