Vespa maker Piaggio launched on Tuesday a manufacturing facility robotic which makes use of synthetic intelligence to maneuver autonomously on pre-set routes and which may carry as much as 130 kilograms.
The Italian firm mentioned it might use the robotic on the manufacturing traces of its motorcycle model Moto Guzzi in Italy, and later in different factories in Italy, India, Vietnam and Indonesia.
The machine, named “kilo” and developed by the group’s U.S. robotic mobility unit Piaggio Quick Ahead (PFF), can observe its operator, transfer on as much as 100 pre-recorded routes or transfer autonomously, Piaggio mentioned.
Kilo robots can “transfer safely with and round staff in advanced environments”, and can be appropriate to be used by “any sector that depends on the repetitive motion of products”, PFF chief government Greg Lynn mentioned in a press release.
