Kareena Kapoor says she has made sacrifices as a working mom to Taimur and Jeh.
Kareena Kapoor is among those actors who have successfully balanced their work and personal lives. However, she admitted that achieving this balance sometimes means making sacrifices, either at work or at home. Recently, she shared that she had to miss her younger son Jeh’s first concert, speaking of her experience with ‘mom guilt’.
Revealing how it was a busy day at her home, Kareena, during a chat with ABP, said, “It was my younger one Jeh’s first ever concert that I missed today because I was shooting for a campaign before this. Saif was doing rehearsals for his film which he is starting for Netflix next week. So he went to Taimur’s school fete and then to Jeh’s concert. It has been very busy, I just called the kids up and checked on them. It’s a constant battle, but I love it.”
Kareena said that she can’t live without work and she and Saif Ali Khan strive to balance their time at home with the kids. Taimur understands this and she believes it’s important for him to see both his parents working, taking turns to be at home. “Being at work or being a working mother is something I can’t live without. Taimur understands that. I feel it is a healthy atmosphere for him to see that his mother, as well as his father, go to work, and they take turns at who is probably going to be at home. It will give him a very balanced approach to growing up and knowing how to respect a woman a lot more,” she said.
Kareena will be next seen in Rhea Kapoor’s production, The Crew. The film stars Tabu and Kriti Sanon apart from Kareena in pivotal roles. The film is said to revolve around the troubled airline industry. Directed by Rajesh Krishnan, it’s set to release on March 29.
