Casemiro has thrown his support behind Michael Carrick becoming the permanent manager of Manchester United, saying the former midfielder has already shown he possesses all the qualities needed to succeed in one of football’s toughest jobs.
Carrick was appointed interim manager until the end of the season after United parted ways with Ruben Amorim in January following a turbulent 14-month spell in charge. Since taking over, Carrick has overseen a dramatic revival in fortunes at Old Trafford, guiding the club to 10 wins in 14 matches across competitions and reviving hopes of a strong finish to the campaign.

“Of course, the season is year-round. But since he arrived, he’s been doing an incredible job and I think that with more time, he has everything to be a great manager of Manchester United.”
