The initiative will enhance voter turnout by means of the SVEEP programme, encouraging Metro commuters to fulfil their civic obligation and vote in elections.

The Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Company Restricted (MMMOCL) on Friday introduced a ten per cent low cost on tickets for commuters on Might 20 when town goes to polls within the fifth section of the Lok Sabha elections. As per a launch issued by the MMMOCL, passengers travelling on Metro line 2A and line 7 can avail of a ten per cent low cost on polling day.

5 Lok Sabha seats in Mumbai will vote within the ultimate section of the final election on Might 20. The MMMOCL operates metro line 2A between Andheri (west) and Dahisar (east) and line 7 between Dahisar (east) and Andheri (east).

The initiative will enhance voter turnout by means of the systematic voter schooling and electoral participation (SVEEP) programme to encourage Metro commuters to fulfil their civic obligation and vote in elections, the discharge said.

Commuters utilizing Mumbai One playing cards, paper QR and paper tickets to journey to polling stations can avail of the ten per cent low cost on the bottom fare on their return journey after voting, it mentioned.
