New Vande Bharat Specific hyperlinks Mysuru & Chennai through Bengaluru. SWR ensures easy operation. No service on Wednesdays until July as a consequence of mechanical constraints.
A brand new Vande Bharat Specific service connecting Mysuru and Chennai through Bengaluru kicks off in the present day.
The South Western Railway (SWR) has ensured all essential preparations in Mysuru for the graceful operation of this premium practice, acknowledged Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) Manjunath Kanamadi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated this practice on March 12. Initially, between March 14 and April 4, the practice operated between SMVT Bengaluru and Chennai Central as a consequence of upkeep limitations in Mysuru. It didn’t run on Wednesdays throughout this era, as reported by Deccan Herald.
Ranging from April 5, the practice with numbers 20663/20664 will ply between Mysuru and Chennai Central through KSR Bengaluru, knowledgeable Kanamadi. From April 5 to July 29, the practice is not going to run on Wednesdays. And from July 30 onwards, Thursdays would be the off days, citing mechanical causes, as acknowledged by SWR.
This marks the second Vande Bharat Specific service between Mysuru and Chennai. The primary service (practice numbers 20607/20608) has been operational since November 2022.
It departs from Chennai Central at 5:50 am and arrives in Mysuru at 12:20 pm, with the return journey departing Mysuru at 1:05 pm and reaching Chennai Central at 7:20 pm, maintained by the Southern Railway in Chennai.
The brand new service from Mysuru leaves at 6:00 am and reaches Chennai Central at 12:25 pm through Mandya, KSR Bengaluru, KR Puram, and Katpadi. On the return journey, it departs Chennai Central at 5:00 pm and reaches Mysuru at 11:20 pm.
