The deputy Speaker has warned these within the public gallery to cease clapping throughout a debate on Covid and extra deaths.

Dame Rosie Winterton stated the noise was “merely not acceptable” and issued a “closing warning” the gallery could be cleared if the noise continued from the general public, out of view of TV cameras, watching the controversy from seats above a virtually empty chamber.

Each interventions adopted Impartial MP Andrew Bridgen talking in opposition to Covid vaccines within the debate. He had claimed some had “prompted critical hurt and loss of life”, forward of Conservative MP Sir Christopher Chope who stated “emotions run very strongly on this”.
