The upcoming Nothing Phone 2a, the third smartphone from the company, is slated for launch next month. Anticipated to be a more affordable variant of the Nothing Phone 2 introduced last year, various details of the smartphone have surfaced online in recent months, providing insights into what to expect from the next device from the UK startup led by OnePlus Co-Founder Carl Pei. Not, tech startup Nothing has officially confirmed the arrival of their highly anticipated Nothing Phone 2a through a brief video posted on X (formerly known as Twitter).

The Nothing Phone 2a is set to launch globally on March 5 at 11:30 GMT (which translates to 5:00 PM IST in India). However, it remains uncertain whether the Nothing Phone 2a will feature the Glyph interface on its rear panel. The global launch announcement was followed by a dedicated post on Nothing’s India X account, confirming the launch in the country.

This follows weeks of speculation and leaks surrounding the successor to Nothing’s debut phone, the Phone (1). While the company hasn’t revealed the full specifications yet, the teaser video hints at a smartphone that will stay true to Nothing’s design philosophy of transparency and minimalism.

Nothing Phone 2a Expected Specs, Features, More

Unlike its predecessors, the Nothing Phone 2a seems to sport a transparent rear panel, a departure from the customisable LED array of the Glyph interface. Moreover, the camera layout on the Nothing Phone 2a differs from its predecessors, featuring two vertically arranged lenses in the top-left corner, accompanied by Nothing branding and regulatory icons at the bottom.

Adding to the buzz, the Nothing Phone 2a has recently acquired NBTC certification, as disclosed by reputable tipster Mukul Sharma, indicating an imminent launch.

Exclusive to Flipkart in India, the smartphone is poised to inherit and enhance upon the features of last year’s Nothing Phone 2, promising an elevated user experience compared to its predecessor, the Nothing Phone 1.
