Pakistani actor Sana Javed was present at the Multan Cricket Stadium to cheer for her husband Shoaib Malik in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024.

Malik played for the Karachi Kings in their opening match against Mohammad Rizwan’s Multan Sultans on Sunday, February 19.

When Malik had come to bat with Karachi’s score at 12 for 2 in 3.2 overs, the cameras panned towards Javed, who had a broad smile on her face as she saw her spouse bat.

Back on January 20, 2024, both Shoaib and Sana shared pictures on their social media handles announcing their wedding.

“And we created you in pairs,” their captions read.

Malik was earlier married to Indian tennis star Sania Mirza, and they also have a 5-year-old kid, Izhan Mirza Malik. After Shoaib married Sana, Sania’s family released a statement, saying that “Shoaib, and she have been divorced for a few months now”.

“Sania has always kept her personal life away from the public eye. However, today the need has arisen for her to share that Shoaib, and she have been divorced for a few months now,” the statement read.

Shoaib Malik hits classy fifty against Sultans

As far as Malik is concerned, he made an impressive start to his campaign in the PSL 2024. On Sunday, he raced his way to scoring a half-century off 34 balls to show that even at the age of 42, his hunger to succeed hasn’t died down.

Malik went on to score 53 runs off 35 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes before Abbas Afridi accounted for his wicket. Chasing a stiff target of 186, the Kings lost by 55 runs after being restricted to 130 for 8 in 20 overs. Barring Malik, none of the Kings’ batters managed to put pressure on the opposition bowling attack.

Before playing for the Kings, Malik plied his trade for the Fortune Barishal in the 2024 Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

In 533 T20 matches until now, since his debut back in 2006, Malik has scored 13159 runs in T20 cricket with 83 half-centuries and picked up 180 wickets.
