PSL 2025: Lahore Qalandars record consecutive wins in Pakistan Super League 2025, as Karachi Kings suffer a huge defeat at home. With the result, the 2022 & 2023 champions are now 2nd in the table with 4 points.
Karachi Kings, who scripted a historic win against Multan Sultans in thier opening fixture, produced an ordinary display of batting in their match on Tuesday, and will have to get back on drawing board, if they are to avoid further slump in form.
“I think for us the powerplay where we lost the wickets was the key. They found 10 boundaries in the 18 balls at a stage and that took the momentum away from us. Barring from the bad bowling there are a lot of positives from this game,” said David Warner, Karachi Kings Captain.
“200 was a par score. A lot of dew was in the offer. If we had taken the catches and bowled a bit well, we would’ve done better. The guys are putting enormous hard work on field and they remain cheerful off the field. I am enjoying my time as a skipper,” he added.
The introdution of Rishad Hossain has lifted the spirits in Lahore Qalandars’ camp, as the Bangladesh leggie is proving to be a perfect replacement for Rashid Khan, who’s currently playing for Gujarat Titans in IPL.
The right-arm wrist spinner has scalped 6 wickets in 2 innings so far in PSL 2025.
