SANDOUVILLE: French automotive maker Renault plans to speculate 300 million euros ($323.25 million) in its meeting plant positioned in Sandouville in northern France to make new-generation electrical vans from 2026.
The corporate will add 550 workers to its 1,850 payroll on the plant over the following 4 years, it stated in an announcement.
The challenge to construct a light-weight van, designed particularly for last-mile supply of parcels, is a part of Renault’s electrical car unit Flexis, a three way partnership with Sweden’s Volvo and French delivery and logistics big CMA CGM.
In March, Renault and Volvo obtained the required regulatory approval to formally launch the three way partnership through which CMA CGM Group has confirmed its curiosity to speculate as much as 120 million euros, Renault stated.
