Russian IL-76 Military Cargo Plane With 15 Onboard Crashes During Take Off

Russia mentioned on Tuesday {that a} navy cargo airplane with 15 individuals on board had crashed whereas taking off from an airfield for a scheduled flight. 

Moscow mentioned the Ilyushin-76 airplane crashed within the Ivanovo area, 200 kilometres (125 miles) east of Moscow after one among its engines caught fireplace.  

“An Il-76 navy transport airplane crashed within the Ivanovo area whereas taking off to carry out a scheduled flight. On board have been eight crew members and 7 passengers,” the defence ministry mentioned in a press release carried by Russia information businesses. 

It mentioned the crash was brought on by “a fireplace in one among its engines” and it had despatched a navy fee to the air base in Ivanovo.
